Halloween Décor Ideas That Will Surely Scare Your Visitors
What sets Halloween apart from other holidays is how invested people are into spooking others through their home décor or costumes. Try the following ideas and see how frightened your neighbors and guests will be.
Stacked Jacks
Who knew a benign pumpkin patch could yield such otherworldly creatures? Assume the role of Dr. Frankenstein this Halloween, and create your own monster, using stacks of pumpkins, gourds, and squashes. Only the heads need carving; if the bumpy body parts don’t sit squarely on each other, level them with a serrated knife, then use toothpicks, pushed into the flesh, to assemble them. Before attaching the head, insert a low-wattage light bulb, and plug it into an outside socket or heavy-duty extension cord. Source: MarthaStewart
Creepy Eyeball Glasses
Give your guests a fright by placing an eyeball at the bottom of your glass. This is a fun way to decorate as it isn’t obvious and it won’t be seen until the drink is tipped. You could print out any eyes and if the glass is plain on the bottom, just stick the eyeballs to the outside of the glass on the bottom. Source: StayGlam
Garage Door Victim
If you really want to freak people out, stuff some old clothes with straw or paper and leave the top half under your garage door, then splatter the front of the door with ketchup. Source: LittleThings
Eerie Glowing Ghost Halloween Décor
Ghosts are Halloween creatures that have been used for ages, but ghosts can also be boring. Make them interesting by creating a Halloween window decoration that will illuminate your window with an eerie blue glow. You can achieve this design by cutting some sheets to look like a ghost and placing a black light in the midst of the sheets. Creating this design in a dark space will make it glow even more. Spirits may exist in this world, but creating a freestanding ghost in your window will make it seem like your home is truly haunted by spirits from beyond the grave. Source: HomeBNC
Too scared of what might lurk outside your windows this Halloween? Get a window treatment today!

3 Ways to Lessen the Stress During Your Toddler’s Bath Time
Content originally published and Shared from http://perfectbath.com
One of the day-to-day struggles of a parent is bathing a child who absolutely hates being in the water. Make bath time less problematic for both you and your baby by following these great tips:
Ease bath time worries
Lots of kids have legitimate anxieties about having water poured over their heads. If your children usually cry when you wash their hair, this could be an issue you need to be sensitive to. Make sure the water you’re using is a comfortable temperature, and always warn your kids before you start to pour it over their heads. Consider buying a bathtime visor (a special foam hat that protects your kids’ faces while you rinse their hair), which can help minimize the amount of water that gets into their eyes. Source: TheSpruce
Try new methods
There could be various reasons that your child dislikes bathing. For starters you can try changing his bathing time, maybe bathing time is disrupting his play-time or maybe he is just lazy at a particular time. You could try to switch positions in the bathroom, try a different corner instead of the regular one; your child could like a corner better and cooperate while bathing. You could even start bathing your child’s feet first and make your way upwards since many kids dislike washing their face or hair; you could do this in the end and save yourself some crying time. Source: BeingTheParent
Remember to have fun!
By far the best way to make bath time easy is to make it fun! Get some fun bath toys and play with them with your toddler. You can also sing bath time songs, talk to him or her, or just interact in any way you enjoy. Bath time can be fun for both parent and child, and there’s no better way to make any activity easy than by making it enjoyable! Source: MomTricks

Bath vs. Shower: Which is better?
Content originally published and Shared from http://perfectbath.com
Can’t decide between a bath and a shower? Let us help you decide which will suit your lifestyle better! Here are some facts to consider:
Which costs more?
The cost of bathing and showering is generally defined by water usage, in other words, the cost of the water itself, and the cost of heating the water.
A shower uses less water, and as a result, less hot water. Blanche says showering tends to cost less than bathing. She says if you say that you choose to shower instead of bathing (in a half-filled bath), then over a year, you would save in the region of 6 935 litres of water, plus the costs of heating that water. Source: News24
Which is healthier?
This is a tough call, since baths and showers have different health benefits.
- Warm baths can reduce feelings of loneliness. They can also help moisturize your skin, as long as the water’s not too hot. Plus, baths are stress-relieving.
- Hot showers can also ease anxiety and loneliness. Hot pressure on your back is good for sore muscles, and the steam showers create is a natural decongestant when you have a cold.
- Cold showers have the most health benefits. Like warm showers and baths, they are good for your mood. But they also wake you up, stimulate weight loss, don’t dry out our skin or hair, increase the speed of muscle recovery AND can boost immunity. Source: SuperheroYou
What’s better for cleaning?
Unless you are literally covered in mud, there is no evidence a bath leaves you any cleaner than a shower. More concerning to doctors is not which way you choose to rinse off, but for how long you do so.
“We don’t have to have a long shower or a long bath to be clean, and scrubbing yourself more will just make your skin drier,” said Emma Guttman-Yassky, a professor and vice chair of the Department of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Guttman-Yassky recommends bathers rinse off under fresh water to be sure no soap sticks to the body after a soak. Source: HuffingtonPost
If you still can’t decide which is better for you bathroom, asking the experts will surely help. Feel free to call us today!

HFH Brick Drive
Mark your calendars everyone because tomorrow, the Annual Brick Drive by Habitat for Humanity is coming!
What is the Brick Drive?
The Brick Drive is an annual event that HFH holds to help raise money for people in lack of housing. Each raffle ticket represents a brick and a donation for families in need of quality housing. Each brick is 10 Yuan, and enters you for a fabulous drawing. The more bricks you buy, the better the chance you have of winning a prize. Last year, HFH managed to raise over 24,000 RMB, this year we strive to raise even more. Daily competitions will be held across all classes to see which homeroom bought the most bricks. Don’t forget to buy a Brick tomorrow for just 10 RMB.
Buy a Brick! But a couple! Give the Gift of Shelter!

What Is a Trademark?

A trademark is a word, phrase, symbol, or design (such as a business name or logo) that identifies the source of a product or service and distinguishes a brand from its competitors. 5 Tips to Save Money on Your Bathroom Renovation
Content originally published and Shared from http://perfectbath.com
Remodeling your bathroom to make it look more up-to-date can be expensive. If you want to get top-of-the-line fixtures, you should try to save on the other aspects of your project. Keep reading to learn more:
Keep original plumbing layout
Moving plumbing is second only to bumping out walls when it comes to incurring costs. When you consider the plumber’s high estimates, you may find that you can live with your current layout after all. Source: TheSpruce
Have everything planned and materials in hand before you start
Changing course in midstream always costs time and money. You should know what you’re doing and when you expect to finish before launching into any grand bathroom renovation. Source: Money.USNews
Consider open shelves
The bathroom is a private place, but open shelving can create the illusion of space in smaller square footage, and with a less weighty wallet hit than cabinets. A few drawers or covered baskets on high shelves can house your private items, and your colorful towels, pretty soaps and washes, and other bathroom decor don’t have to hide in a dark closet any longer! Source: HGTV
Choose the right products
Bathroom products are susceptible to many challenges, most of them related to moisture. Carpet, for example, is a bad idea in baths; go with tile or stone — something that will stand up to water. And choose a low-volume, high-pressure toilet, Lahr advises, “so you don’t have to plunge when your kid puts 6 miles of tissue in the toilet.” Source: BHG
Prepare to get dirty
The more you can do it yourself (DIY), the more you’ll save. While you might not be an expert mason or a plumbing pro, there are little upgrades you can make in your bathroom yourself. Homeowners can:
- Hang a new mirror above the vanity.
- Install the vanity, then have a plumberhook up the sink.
- Paint the room.
- Remove old wallpaper.
- Take out old tile.
Remember, every step you do on your own will save you money. Source: AngiesList

Vidigami: iOS11 problem
Recently, newer Apple devices such as iPhone 7 and iPad Pro have updated how images from iOS 11 are captured and stored. By default, images are now stored as HEIC (High Efficiency Image) files.
The developer community was not advised of this update prior to the release and, as a result, 3rd party applications (like Vidigami) are not able to display these images as they are not a recognized file format. Solutions are now actively being developed to support this update.
In the meantime, Vidigami encourages iOS 11 users of iPhone 7+ and the iPad Pro to edit the the camera settings on their device to default to JPEGs, instead of HEIC. To disable HEIC on your device, simply go to Settings > Camera > Formats > Most Compatible. On the desktop, HEIC images may be exported from Apple Photos as standard JPEGs for upload.
Thank you for your understanding and patience, whilst Vidigami develops a solution to this.

MS STUCO Celebrating Women In October
This month, MS STUCO is helping ISB celebrate the wonderful women in our lives. One way to do this is to encourage a staff member to wear a colourful tutu on Wednesday 18 and 25th. If you would like to see a MS teacher (male and female) in a tutu on those days donate 20rmb.
(Optional read) Why tutus? Tutus say we are beautiful in all shapes and sizes. What's the Tutu Walk? Take a selfie, post or tweet #We for Women, and spread the message of courage & strength! Teachers will wear their tutus as they walk around the MS Cafeteria. The MS Yearbook photographers will also run a photo booth for that special photo on those days. Students can also buy a tutu for 30rmb and join the lunch time fun. Any one can make a donation of any amount to support research into the treatment of breast cancer. Look for your student council executive at the tutu stall in the MS cafeteria at lunch all October.
MS STUCO meetings
All MS STUCO meetings will be held at lunchtime on Thursdays. Be sure to leave Office Hours on time so you can attend the meeting. Special lunch passes will be given at the meeting tomorrow.

Why Every Entrepreneur Needs to Know About Asset Protection
Entrepreneurs put a lot of sweat equity into starting and running their businesses. They make sacrifices and have a lot on the line. Unfortunately, despite how much time and energy business owners put forth, there’s no such thing as guaranteed business success. When a business doesn’t make it, it’s distressing. But when an entrepreneur’s home, [...]

3 Things to Add to Your Bath That Are Good For Your Skin
Content originally published and Shared from http://perfectbath.com
Take your bathing experience to another level by adding ingredients that provide wonderful benefits for your skin. Try to start with the following:
Oatmeal
If you’re used to having a bowl of this whole-grain powerhouse for breakfast, you’re already well aware of its amazing benefits. But not only is it good to eat, it’s amazing to bathe in—especially during winter. “Oatmeal helps provide soothing relief for dry skin, rashes, sunburn, and other everyday skin irritation due to its healthy fat content,” says Schlessinger. “Oats also contain natural cleansers that help keep pores free of impurities and proteins that help skin maintain its natural moisture barrier.” Source: WomensHealthMag
Raw Honey
Raw honey does amazing things for your skin – in fact, Cleopatra was even said to take honey baths to maintain her gorgeous complexion. It’s naturally antibacterial, making it outstanding for both preventing and treating acne, and because it’s filled with antioxidants it’s great for slowing down aging too. It’s also considered to be clarifying as it helps to open up the pores, making them easier to unclog.
Honey not only helps to moisturize the skin but it helps it retain moisture, and even those with sensitive, easily irritated skin can use it too. If you’re battling dry winter skin, a honey bath is the ideal prescription. That’s because as the seasons change the skin tends to go into overdrive in an effort to rebalance itself to the conditions. Source: NaturalLivingIdeas
Epsom Salt
Wonderful at easing muscle soreness and relieving tension, Epsom salt can be added to almost any bath recipe. It’s also a good source of magnesium and makes skin soft and smooth. Source: HelloGlow
